Ten Films That Are A Must Watch As We Celebrate Independence Day

On this Independence Day, We can celebrate this day by watching some inspirational movies. These movies inspire us and let us know about the freedom struggle our freedom heroes. We know that, we got this freedom after a long struggle and prime sacrifice of freedom heroes. In our Bollywood movies, very beautifully depicted all this freedom struggle and heroes. There are some movies that left a bench mark in this patriot spirit. Some film stars like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Shahrukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth, Deepika, Kareena, and Sunny Leone also did great job in different films to promote Patriot.

There are ten movies, which we definitely watch in this Independence Day to salute our Heroes.

1. Kranti

It was a multi-starrer movie. The plot revolves around the freedom struggle by freedom fighter from British rule. Star cast was Dilip Kumar, Shatrughan Sinha, Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Hema Malini, Parveen Babi, and Sarika and many more…

2. Sarfrosh

This movie was all about cross-border terrorism. In this film Aamir Khan played role of an IPS officer. This film also has a romantic twist. It is released during Kargil war period, and it was very successful movie at that time.

3. Rang de Basanti

This was youth oriented movie which gives inspiration to youngsters to take bold steps against social evils. It also has great star cast like Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Kiron Kher, Wahida Rehman, Kunal Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni, Sidharth Narayan, and R. Madhavan.

4. Swadesh

It was a special film to watch on Independence Day because Swadesh promotes progressive way to India at its best. Shahrukh Khan done his life’s best acting as NASA scientist, who came to India and help common people to conquer their basic needs. It prompted villages to progressive path.

5. Chak De! India

It was also an inspirational movie which inspired women participation in games and also sports oriented. Shahrukh Khan did fantastic acting as a Women’s Hocky coach. This film went on to become a commercial as well as a critical success at the Box Office

6. Lagaan –

This film plot revolves around British rule and taxation policy of British government in India. Aamir Khan played role of a villager who take challenge of a cricket match to avoid unnecessary taxes. In this movie also having big star cast like Aamir Khan, Gracy Singh, Rachel Shelley, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raghubir Yadav and many more….

7. Lakshya –

Lakshya is the story of a boy who didn’t have any goal in his life. This film of what challenges exactly do a person has to go through to be at the border protecting his country. The plot of the movie is on Kargil War Period. Hrithik Roshan played a very impressive role of an Army officer who was a part of Kargil War and Priety Zinta played role of a Journalist.

8. Gandhi

This film is about Mahatma Gandhi; Ben Kinsley played a remarkable role of Mahatma Gandhi. It was a life story of Mahatma Gandhi, Gandhi being thrown out of a train in South Africa where he went to study law, and finally ends with his assassination in 1948.

9. Border

Border is also War period movie with huge stars like Akshay Khanna, Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suneil Shetty, Tabu, Rakhee, Pooja Bhatt, Rakhi , Sudesh Berry, Punit Isser etc. The film revolved around the lives of soldiers who are posted at the border due to a war and how they protect motherland from the enemy by sacrifice their lives.

10. The Legend of Bhagat Singh

It was a life story of our freedom hero Bhagat Singh and his prime sacrifice for his Country. In this movie Bhagat singh role was played by Ajay Devgun. It depicted the struggle of freedom fighters for the freedom of India.
